## Dal Bukhara Recipe (Punjabi Style Black Urad Dal) – Easy & Delicious Recipe

### Ingredients for Dal Bukhara Recipe (Punjabi Style Black Urad Dal):

* 1 cup Black Urad Dal (Whole) – soaked overnight
* 1 Onion – finely chopped
* 3 Tomatoes – pureed
* 1 Ginger Garlic Paste
* 2 Green Chillies
* 2 tablespoon Butter
* 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds (Jeera)
* 1 Kasuri Methi (Dried Fenugreek Leaves)
* Salt – to taste
* 1 teaspoon Red Chilli powder
* 1 teaspoon Chaat Masala Powder
* 1 teaspoon Garam masala powder
* 1 teaspoon Cumin powder (Jeera)
* 1/4 cup Fresh cream

### Step-by-Step Instructions to Make Dal Bukhara Recipe (Punjabi Style Black Urad Dal):

1. pressure cook the black grams with required cups water till done.
2. Remove and mash the dal mixture.
3. Heat butter in a heavy bottomed pan.
4. Splutter cumin and bay leaf.
5. Add onions, green chilli, ginger garlic paste and saute till light brown.
6. Add tomato puree and salt.
7. Mix everything well and cook for about 3 to 5 minutes.
8. After 3 to 5 minutes, add all the spice powder including Kasuri methi, red chilli powder, chaat masala, cumin powder, turmeric powder and cook for two minutes.
9. After 2 minutes, add the dal mixture, required the amount of water and let it simmer for few minutes.
10. Finally, add garam masala powder and cream and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
11. Serve hot.
12. Serve Dal Bukhara along with Bharma Baingan and Phulka for a weekday meal.
