The nectarine, *Prunus persica* var. *nectarina*, in general, originated in **China**.

While the cultivar ‘Arctic Glo’ is a modern variety, and therefore bred in a specific location (likely the United States), its genetic roots lie firmly in China. So, even though it’s a modern hybrid, its ancestry is still traced back to the original peach/nectarine growing regions of China.
