Flint Corn (Zea mays subsp. mays 'Indian Ornamental')

Flint corn, including the ‘Indian Ornamental’ variety, is native to **Mesoamerica**, specifically present-day **Mexico and Central America**.

While it is widely grown in many parts of the world today, its origins are in the region where maize (corn) was first domesticated. Different varieties were then spread and adapted by indigenous peoples throughout North and South America.
