* 1 cup Arhar dal (Split Toor Dal)
* 1/2 cup Chana dal (Bengal Gram Dal) – optional
* 1/2 cup Dill leaves – finely chopped
* 6-7 Green Chillies – finely chopped
* Ginger – small piece
* 1/2 cup Fresh coconut
* sprig Coriander (Dhania) Leaves
* Curry leaves
* 1 pinch Asafoetida (hing)
* 1 pinch Turmeric powder (Haldi)
* Salt – to taste
