### Ingredients for Pahari Style Phanu Recipe – Pahadi Style Phanu Recipe:

* 1 cup arhar dal – soak in water for 2 hours
* 1/2 cup urad dal – soak in water for 2 hours
* 1 tomato – finely chopped
* 1 inch ginger – finely chopped
* 4 cloves garlic – finely Cut
* 1 tsp turmeric powder
* asafetida – a pinch
* 1/2 inch ginger – finely chopped
* 2 cloves garlic – finely chopped
* 1 tsp cumin seeds
* 1 green chilli – straight and sinuous cut
* 1 tsp Mustard oil – for tempering

### Step-by-Step Instructions to Make Pahari Style Phanu Recipe – Pahadi Style Phanu Recipe:

1. To make the hill style funu recipe, first soak the lentils for 1 to 2 hours.
2. After getting wet, put both the pulses in a pressure cooker with tomato, ginger, garlic, turmeric powder and salt.
3. Turn off the cooker and cook till it reaches 6 cities.
4. After coming to city 6, turn off the gas and let the pressure drain automatically.
5. Open the cooker, turn the gas again and add asafoetida, salt to taste, some water and mix it.
6. Mash it a little.
7. For tempering, heat mustard oil in a tempering pan.
8. Add cumin seeds, green chillies, ginger, garlic and cook for 20 seconds, add this tempering to the dal, mix and serve.
9. Serve Pahadi Style Phanu Recipe with Aloo Brinjal Sabzi, Phulka and Radish Raita for dinner.
